Over the years, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s fictional detective, Sherlock Holmes, has influenced everything from science to popular culture. Holmes has been the inspiration of everything from movies to social organizations. His fans are dedicated to and knowledgeable about their hero. It takes one of their own to make a film worthy of their respect. It only takes one time to lmes.com/watch-sherlock-holmes-online-free.html”>watch Sherlock Holmes online and see that director Guy Ritchie and producer Lionel Wigram fit that bill.
As is fitting anything related to a world-famous investigator, details are everything. Watch Sherlock Holmes online and get a feel for the importance of the historical context. Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes battles an occult leader with supernatural powers. Producer Lionel Wigram made use of the Spiritualism trend that was popular during Holmes’ time and created a new foe, Lord Blackwood. He did not come up with the villain entirely out of nowhere, though. Aleister Crowley, whom the Blackwood character is based upon, was a well-known occult leader of a group called The Golden Dawn during the mid-1800’s. The casting of Mark Strong in the role couldn’t have been better, too, as you can see when you watch Sherlock Holmes online.

People only lightly familiar with the character might think the filmmakers have attempted to enhance and modernize Holmes. For instance, when you watch Sherlock Holmes online, you see numerous clips of the character involved in violent action scenes. Is this a re-invention of Holmes? Not so, claims Wigram. The Holmes in Conan Doyle’s stories knew martial arts and was known to use them when necessary. Fans of Robert Downey, Jr. will surely want to watch Sherlock Holmes online to see him in some beautifully choreographed fight scenes.
When watching Sherlock Holmes online, some might perceive something else different about Holmes. Wigram sees Holmes as bipolar, and subtly included characteristics of the disorder in the character’s profile for this movie. Some of Holmes’ lesser known bad habits are brought out as well. You can get a peek at some of his mannerisms when you watch Sherlock Holmes online.
London’s most beloved investigator arrives once again to theaters this Christmas. Surely you’ll agree when you watch Sherlock Holmes online that, if this is the real Holmes, why did it take so long to meet him?

All three stories can be found in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. This title, with all 3 stories, can be read:

I LOVE Sherlock Holmes!! Some of my favorite stories are The Dying Detective, The Blue Carbuncle, The Final Problem, The Empty House. Oh, and the curious incident of the dog in the night was that it didn't bark.

When I first herd about it and the concept behind it, I sounded horrible. But the more I've seen, the more I'm looking forward to it. It's definitely going to be a new take on Holmes.

My father and I were at each other’s throats over this movie.
Tradition vs. Creative License
That was the basis of the argument. He couldn’t except Holmes fighting like he did when in reality in the stories he did reference an expert at “short stick”. He just can’t except change. How many times has Holmes been done pretty much the same way? I think it’s cool they tried to change it a little bit to give us something new.

"A Study in Scarlet". It's the story that introduces Holmes and Watson.

Since you're ruling out The Hound of the Baskervilles, which I must say is actually my favorite, I'll tell you one of my other favorites: A Scandal in Bohemia.
A Scandal in Bohemia is the story that includes Irene Adler, who is, as far as Sherlock Holmes is concerned, THE Woman. She is the only woman Holmes is ever known to admire and esteem; this story actually shows a woman whose intelligence rivals Sherlock's own. In fact, she beats Holmes in A Scandal in Bohemia; she's one step ahead all the way. No other woman compares to The Woman, in Holmes' estimation. Actually, the most fascinating part of the mystery is to see just how Irene Adler circumvents Sherlock Holmes.
This story is very unlike any of the other Sherlock Holmes mysteries, and therefore, must rank as one of my favorites. It's actually one of the shorter stories in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and can be read here http://www.online-literature.com/doyle/adventures_sherlock/ or more exactly here http://www.online-literature.com/doyle/adventures_sherlock/1/
