The latest gossip on celebrity scandal and the evidence-bearing scandalous pictures of celebs spread so fast you would think that reporters and photographers owned the Internet. However, celebrity scandals and the latest gossip take far longer to uncover than they do to publicize – but the price makes it worth the wait.

Celebrity scandals that are unearthed with the latest gossip are big money makers for the celebs and the spies. Tabloids pay big money for pictures of celebs – and listening to the latest gossip in celebrity circles can set a photographer up for an easy hundred thousand dollar picture. The lucky camera snapping souls who hang out in Hollywood can even make a living from just listening to the latest gossip on where the celebs are going and where they’re hanging out. A picture of Brittney Spears doing what everyone but the severely disabled do every day – walking – can fetch $250. A picture of her destroying something is worth $100,000. Brittney’s bald head brought one photographer $500,000. The latest gossip in the paparazzi coffee clatch reports that she supported her photographers by helping them earn a green four million dollars.

The latest gossip on celebrity scandals tells the paparazzi and the photojournalist wannabes where to go. The tabloids are eager to quickly grab the pictures of celebs that will keep their three million copies a day flying off the supermarket shelves. (And that’s just The Sun.) The National Enquirer, with it’s one million subscribers dedicated to its sensationalized celebrity news and latest gossip, has to flip through hundreds of thousands of pictures of celebs a day to find the picture that will draw more attention than the previous issue’s pictures of celebs.

Big stories don’t come easy though. The latest gossip starts from small gossip. But overhearing one sentence can be enough for a strong lead. It took nine months of shadow-lurking and car napping for the John Edwards affair to surface – and the National Enquirer picked up on it before the national news. The National Enquirer was also quite aware due to their precision ears that have sonar for the latest gossip, that Sarah Palin’s teenage daughter was pregnant. They filled their issues with pictures of these political celebs before the reputable newspapers could print a verified story.

The latest gossip on the sidewalks of Hollywood and in the Hollywood clubs is where the celebrity scandals begin. Gossip leads to inquiring minds, and curiosity catches the celebrity. Pictures of the celebs is all the proof that tabloids need for their billions of dollars of revenue they rake in every year.

Making money off celebrities does not come without its lawsuits. But every newspaper has their lawsuits for libel and scandal – and the National Enquirer’s lawsuits run at industry average. Why don’t more celebrities sue for the tabloid’s obnoxious reporting? Publicity. There’s nothing a celeb loves more than publicity.

The latest gossip in celebrity clubs, Hollywood stores and the employee rooms of luxury hotels fuel the paparazzi with millions of dollars of income from producing pictures of celebs, feed the tabloids billions of dollars in revenue, and help celebrities on their rise to their claim to fame. The latest gossip, pictures of celebs and celebrity scandals are as rich as the celebrities themselves.

Played for the great, legendary Coach Ed Palubinskas of Olympic fame and college history. Ed Palubinskas set Olympic scoring records while playing for the Australian Olympic Basketball National Team and is well kwown for shooting accuracy so much that he tutored the great NBA Legend Shaquille O’Neal while with the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers and currently the NBA World Champion Miami Heat! Ed Palubinskas was great to play for, he made me work really hard and taught me to shoot to convert and with accuracy!
Ed Palubinskas is developer of “The Smartball” advertised on the NFL Network and ESPN. http://www.hoops227.atomicshops.com

I can remember, as well as I’m sure my teammates can recall ‘Coach Palubinskas’ singling me out after practice to run sprints! I remember vividly ‘Coach P’ stating to me ‘on the line,’ over and over again, so many times that I soon understood how important the game was. The irony is that I didn’t walk out of practice, I ran every sprint he demanded of me and I returned to practice the next day…the rest is history!
The Bucket List is one of the best movies of 2008, and it would be cruel not to give it an Oscar award. It teaches viewers how to make the best out of any situation, even a tragic illness like brain cancer. The Bucket List features 2 of the best and most experienced actors in Hollywood (Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson), and the chemistry between the two is marvelous. Some of the recurring themes throughout the movie are living for the present (having fun in the current moment); appreciating the little things in your daily life, while not worrying about what happens in the future. The work that was put into making the movie was tremendous, and it shows during the presentation. So whether you are young or old, The Bucket List is sure to have a strong inspirational message for everyone.

Jack Nicholson plays Edward Cole, a billionaire hospital owner who is recently diagnosed with cancer. Carter Chambers, played by Morgan Freeman, is a mechanic working on an average salary, also fighting with cancer. When the two are placed in the same hospital room, they do not get along. Cole’s crummy attitude does not mend well with Chambers’ wise remarks. However, after spending more time together, they learn to get along and become friends. Later on, both create a “Bucket List”. It is a list of things you wish to do before your death. After some convincing, Cole and Chambers leave the hospital to explore the aspects of their lives that have been missing for quite some time. This is where the plot begins to develop, and the movie enters its lighter stages. There are many things in life which we have no control over; however, we must learn to accept them and make the best of the cards that we are dealt. When someone is struck down by a terminal illness, it is debilitating. I was recently diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, and after spending some time in the hospital, I learned many things that were presented in The Bucket List. Everything happens to us for a reason, intended for self improvement. It is up to us if we want to learn the lessons presented to us, or ignore them.

After leaving the hospital, they begin their journey to accomplish every task on the bucket list. There are some dangerous adventures, like skydiving and crashing race cars, but Cole and Chambers don’t let anything stand in the way of their goals. They have some thoughtful conversations along their journey, filled with humor throughout. The light-heartedness of the film makes it so much more enjoyable for everyone. During the accomplishment of activities on their bucket list, Cole and Chambers experience true happiness, despite their poor health. This goes to show that no obstacle, big or small, can defeat the power of the human spirit. All you need is the willpower, and nothing can stand in your way.

The main conflict occurs towards the end of the movie, where the relationship between our two main characters hangs in the balance. Edwin blatantly refuses to confront the biggest obstacle in his life, which strongly upsets Chambers. This conflict goes on until the end of the movie; when both characters realize their flaws, and make a great effort to improve the lives of others around them. While watching the movie, expect to feel a strong emotional pull towards the characters, as the editing, screenwriting, and music incorporation is fantastic. It was very refreshing to see such an inspirational film like The Bucket List. The movie industry needs to learn from great movies like these, and just keep it going. We deserve to see a masterpiece, and we also deserve to have a chance to better ourselves. The Bucket List is a great movie to watch when you feel that life has given you a raw deal. Why? It can completely warp your perspective, and help you cope and improve any situation. This movie will definitely be on the list of movies to show my kids. While I may be a little bit young to make a bucket list, the idea will be inside my head as a guideline to live life by. We have such little time, why not make the most of it?

Last year in December, I was on my way to the bank when I witnessed history in the making.

The streets were cordoned off by police and thousands and thousands of people of all races and nationalities were flooding the streets.

My bank is on the same block as the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York City. I witnessed thousands who came out to pay respects to the late James Brown, The “Godfather of Soul” music.

James Brown’s body, had been placed in a gold casket, and was being driven through the streets of New York City to the Apollo Theater in a white, glass-encased horse-drawn carriage.

It was a magnificent sight to behold. I was a lucky witness to history.

On Monday, I was a lucky witness to history, again. I was out for a walk, coming over the Madison Ave Bridge which stretches from the Bronx and into Manhattan.

I love to walk over the bridge. Off to one side of the bridge you can see the “House that Ruth Built”, Yankee Stadium (now partially obscured by the construction of the new Yankee Stadium).

Off to the other side of the bridge, you get a sweeping panoramic vista of New York City and an unobstructed view of the mighty Empire State Building, a truly spectacular sight.

As I come off of the bridge I can see across the street, in front of the Chase bank, about 5 police cars blocking off the street and a crowd of onlookers.

My first thought was that the bank must have just been robbed and I started to cross the street, wanting to stay out of the way of any potential trouble. But my curiosity got the better of me and I ambled into the crowd to see what was going on.

Standing in front of the bank was none other than Congressman Charles B Rangel, (Chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means and Chairman of the Board of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee).

Congressman Rangel is the principal author of the five billion dollar Federal Empowerment Zone demonstration project to revitalize urban neighborhoods throughout America.

At his side was the Honorable Percy E Sutton. (As a lawyer Percy Sutton seized his place in American history by fighting for civil rights with the NAACP and as the council for Malcolm X).

Sutton, in the late 60’s was The Manhattan Borough President. He co-founded the Inner City Broadcasting Corporation, which purchased WLIB-AM radio, making it the first Black-owned station in New York City.

Sutton was a member of the delegation of leading American business people selected by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown to represent the United States at the G-7 round table meeting on Telecommunications and High Technology.

Percy Sutton was also the responsible party for the refurbishing and reopening the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem.

Congressman Rangel was making a speech and announcing to the world an historic event… 5th Ave at 135th Street was being renamed “Honorable Percy E Sutton Way”.

A Black Man having a street named after him on prestigious 5th Ave in New York City.

Once again I was a lucky witness to history in the making

Over the years, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s fictional detective, Sherlock Holmes, has influenced everything from science to popular culture. Holmes has been the inspiration of everything from movies to social organizations. His fans are dedicated to and knowledgeable about their hero. It takes one of their own to make a film worthy of their respect. It only takes one time to <a rel="external nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://watch-sherlock-holmes.com/watch-sherlock-holmes-online-free.html”>watch Sherlock Holmes online and see that director Guy Ritchie and producer Lionel Wigram fit that bill.

As is fitting anything related to a world-famous investigator, details are everything. Watch Sherlock Holmes online and get a feel for the importance of the historical context. Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes battles an occult leader with supernatural powers. Producer Lionel Wigram made use of the Spiritualism trend that was popular during Holmes’ time and created a new foe, Lord Blackwood. He did not come up with the villain entirely out of nowhere, though. Aleister Crowley, whom the Blackwood character is based upon, was a well-known occult leader of a group called The Golden Dawn during the mid-1800’s. The casting of Mark Strong in the role couldn’t have been better, too, as you can see when you watch Sherlock Holmes online.

People only lightly familiar with the character might think the filmmakers have attempted to enhance and modernize Holmes. For instance, when you watch Sherlock Holmes online, you see numerous clips of the character involved in violent action scenes. Is this a re-invention of Holmes? Not so, claims Wigram. The Holmes in Conan Doyle’s stories knew martial arts and was known to use them when necessary. Fans of Robert Downey, Jr. will surely want to watch Sherlock Holmes online to see him in some beautifully choreographed fight scenes.

When watching Sherlock Holmes online, some might perceive something else different about Holmes. Wigram sees Holmes as bipolar, and subtly included characteristics of the disorder in the character’s profile for this movie. Some of Holmes’ lesser known bad habits are brought out as well. You can get a peek at some of his mannerisms when you watch Sherlock Holmes online.

London’s most beloved investigator arrives once again to theaters this Christmas. Surely you’ll agree when you watch Sherlock Holmes online that, if this is the real Holmes, why did it take so long to meet him?

New York is without a doubt, one of the world’s fastest and most sophisticated places. Its culture is certainly faster than your average pace of life. The city blooms with the birth of sophisticated fashion being come to life every five minutes. Theater actors are brought out to their best in this place. Even the food is served amazingly! Not only is it a fast paced place of sophistication, it is also the place of various choices! From today’s modern fashion accessories, art works, finely made scrumptious everyday eats, to the most hard to find items; it is without a doubt that New York is the home of two or more. After all, why have one, when you can have two, right?

Indeed this is the thing that sets this city of color and pace apart from any part of the world. It is the capital of option. And indeed it did not leave one of the biggest past time of many sports fanatics behind. New York is so much open to option, that it actually has two NFL (National Football League) teams! What about that? So now whether it is your everyday wear, to your Football team, you just have to pick!

With the proclamation of the New York Giants during the 1920’s, came about the birth of yet another football team during the late 1950’s to early 1960’s. We are talking about the New York Jets. Yes, if you have seen the familiar combination of white and green uniforms in the football field, then that team would be, without a doubt, one of the two New York NFL teams.

Now, to some, the New York Jets and the New York Titans might seem to be confusing and overlapping. Are they actually two different teams or are they one and the same? Actually, they are one and the same. You see, when the team was formed on 1959, it originally had the name New York Titans. Their first ever coach was Sammy Baugh, who at that time was given a $28000 per year contract with the franchise. At around 1963, Werblin, the club’s president and CEO, decided that there was a need to change the name of the franchise in order to symbolize the new obsession of man to travel on not just air, but space itself. Together with astronauts walking in the moon, the team’s name was also then changed from New York Titans, to the New York Jets. From there on, we can directly say that the rest is history. The team has been one of the most competitive teams out there. The team also holds the record as the only team who has had had three straight overtime games in their season. This occurred during the year 2005.

As the frame of mind goes in the Big Apple, No option can be that bad. After all, it would not be an option if it wasn’t a good one. Besides, nothing could be so big in New York if it wasn’t worth noticing.

Upon graduation from high school, there is no doubt that you will surely start your tertiary education in college or university. At age twenty, children will not be covered by health insurance of their parents and this can be disastrous if they are merely study and do not do part-time job. Some universities or colleges may have insurance plan offered to students. These insurance may not answer all your needs but you need to be meticulously considered it.

Most of the universities and colleges offer student health insurance plans. These plans should absolutely be at reasonable price, and can give you the school’s nearest hospitals. This option is one that you should definitely think of, if your son or daughter is enrolled in a college far away from home.

College health care scheme may vary from college to college due to laws and some other factors. Many students may think medical services are free of charge, but it is not always true. In term of clinic visit or routine checkups they may be free, however students still require to pay for special kinds of lab tests and other specialties such as x-rays, prescriptions, and a wound treatment. Compensation usually covers some types of service stated in the health care offered at college health centre. When you are referred to see an outside doctor, then the coverage will cover only 70% of your total expense and you are at risk to pay high medical cost.

You may have a problem getting treatment at the campus health centre if you have pre-existing condition. Having a pre-existing condition or illness does not mean to prevent you from obtaining health insurance plan, but you may not be eligible to have your treatment on your pre-existing condition. It can be troublesome if your new symptoms develop from a pre-existing one.

Health schemes are different, so be sure you find out everything about your health insurance plans. Be sure that your health plan stretch to summer break when you or your child do not take classes. This is vital for you because you don’t want to find out that your health care does not cover when you need it most. Some college health insurances may not cover during summer break, while others do.

Be certain that you study your plan thoroughly. Is it an HMO, or can the member utilise any service provider they went? This is critical. You need to know where you can go in case of emergency, and there is nothing worse than discovering that you will have to pay off the bill yourself.

There is no definitive solution to whether you should or should not commit yourself to college health insurance. Be certain that you study your plan thoroughly so that it answer to your need when you need it most. Although there is no free health insurance scheme, surely it will save you a lot of money in time of illness or accident.

Bob Orr spoke with Politico’s Health Care Editor, Craig Gordon. Plus; Unplugged Under 40.
Help answer the question about health care
Do you know the difference between health care and health care coverage?
I see a lot of posts on here saying that we have the best health care in the world and the evidence is that people come here from other countries to get care.
Whether you are considering a permanent move to the Jersey shore, renting for the summer, or just planning a short getaway, there is a perfect community for you and your family. Each of the following locations has a unique blend of history and modern flavor that attracts tourists and new residents alike.

Allenhurst

The Allen family farm was purchased in 1895 and the .028 square mile land area of “Allenhurst” was formed. Allenhurst has become one of the wealthier towns on the New Jersey Shore. The large Victorian and Tudor-Style homes, as well as the small-town feel of the neighborhood today make Allenhurst a desirable place to live and to visit. The picturesque town has small shops, an award-winning bakery and fine restaurants while a nearby lake offers fishing and canoeing. A popular place in Allenhurst is The Beach Club. Situated at the end of Corlies Road, the beautiful club has pools and a restaurant open during the summer.

Asbury Park

Beginning as a vibrant New Jersey shore resort community in 1870, Asbury Park has set trends and produced cultural icons throughout the 20th century. Legendary Asbury Park has played a significant role in people’s memories of summer fun and the very best of what a tightly knit creative community can be. Because Asbury Park is historically charismatic and culturally appealing, the current renaissance is a logical continuation of a century of challenges, revival and growth. In Asbury Park’s downtown and new boardwalk, the pulse of activity is visible with many new restaurants, galleries and shops. Old buildings being reclaimed, renovated and restored are attracting homebuyers and investors from across the nation. Come to visit our beloved “City by the Sea”.

Avon-by-the-Sea

Incorporated as “Avon-by-the-Sea” on March 23, 1900, this lovely seaside town is a great place to swim & relax in the summer sun. Plenty of fine restaurants, shops, Victorian homes and a beautiful boardwalk and beach make Avon one of New Jersey’s most relaxing spots. Don’t miss the famous Macaroon Shop on Main Street.

Belmar

Originally named “Ocean Beach”, Belmar was founded in 1872. In 1889, the town was re-named Belmar, which is French for “Beautiful Sea”. Today Belmar is one of the most active towns on the Jersey Shore as it attracts many families and singles during the summer. Belmar’s large marina, great fishing and boating as well as fabulous restaurants make Belmar a desirable place to be. A mid-summer Professional Volleyball Tournament on July 8th through the 10th adds to the appeal of this summer destination spot.

Bradley Beach

Founded in 1893, Bradley Beach is an oceanside playground with many choices of recreational activities including: a boardwalk and lovely beach, miniature golf, summer concerts and dances. This small town has an unusually large number of diverse restaurants and clubs. In 1679, legend has it that Captain Kidd anchored his vessel off of what is now Sylvan Lake and buried his treasure between two trees on today’s Brinley Avenue. Today, the year-round population is 5,000 and soars to 30,000 during the summer months.

Brielle

Present day Brielle was founded in 1664 and in the late 1800s Brielle started to become a summer resort when cottages and hotels were built along the Manasquan River. In 1881 a group of investors formed the Brielle Land Association. Interestingly, the name Brielle derives from a town in Holland as the area reminded the founders of the coastal towns of Europe’s North Sea and English Channel. Having no oceanfront, Brielle is well known for many recreational opportunities including fishing, a nationally renowned golf course and its’ marinas which host many commercial and charter fishing boats.

Eatontown

Slightly under 6 square miles, with a population of about 14,000 people, Eatontown is one of the largest towns on the Jersey Shore. It’s long and intricate history began in 1670 when Thomas Eaton, a Quaker, came from Shrewsbury to develop this new land . In 1873 the New Jersey State Legislature made the name of Eatontown official. Because of its central location, Eatontown became a camp and communications center during the war. The camp was renamed after Alfred Vail in honor of the New Jersey inventor who helped develop the Morse telegraph. Many innovations were developed at what is now known as Fort Monmouth including aircraft radar detection and walkie talkies. Old Indian trails are a crossroads for modern travel and the Monmouth Mall, built in 1959 on a former farm, is the center of town. The war made it necessary to train large numbers of telegraphers and other communications personnel.

Interlaken

Founded in 1888, Interlaken was originally a 364-acre farm. In 1890, the Interlaken Land Development Company was created and plans for a residential community began. Throughout its history, Interlaken remains what it still is today – a quiet residential community of approximately 400 families. Many of the present homes were built in the early to mid 1900s by artists, painters, sculptors and writers who found the idyllic community, between the lakes, to be the perfect setting for their creative spirits. Surrounded by Deal Lake, within walking distance to the beaches, local shopping and transportation, Interlaken remains an idyllic residential community.

Lake Como

First settled in 1693, the borough of Lake Como, just south of Belmar, was formally established in 1924. One of the first settlers was Jeremiah Newman who began his life as a farmer. When people started flocking to the seaside town Jeremiah began selling off parcels of his farm for $1 an acre. Today Lake Como has a thriving beachfront which offers a boardwalk, shops, boating and many restaurants.

Little Silver

It is said that Little Silver got its name after a village in Devonshire England. Settled in 1667, early residents were farmers, fishermen and merchants. Separating from Shrewsbury in 1923, Little Silver today is a residential community that features river boating, public tennis courts, beautiful parks and the Post Office Museum. A historic site is The Parker House which is over 350 years old.

Loch Arbour Village

Lined with majestic trees and beautiful Victorian homes, Loch Arbour is the only village, and smallest town, in Monmouth County. Spanning only two blocks wide and five blocks long, Thomas White purchased the land in 1820 from Jacob Corlies. Loch Arbour was incorporated in 1957 and was previously part of Ocean Township. Bordered by Deal Lake and Allenhurst, Loch Arbour’s name comes from “Loch” meaning “Lake” and “Arbour” meaning “Trees”. Within walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants, Loch Arbour empitomizes a quaint seaside village

Long Branch

One of the largest cities on the Jersey Shore, Long Branch was very glamorous in its early days as it attracted many wealthy New Yorkers, as well as more notorious adventurers like Diamond Jim Brady and Lily Langtree. Presidents Grant, Hayes, Harrison, McKinley, Wilson and Garfield all summered in Long Branch. During the 1920s, Long Branch declined in its popularity due to gambling laws restricting this popular past time. Currently Long Branch is experiencing a revival which can be seen along the waterfront with many new buildings being constructed, many restaurants and an active nightlife.

Monmouth Beach

Dating back to 1668, Monmouth Beach was first purchased by Eliakim Wardell. In 1842, Wardell’s great grandson Henry sold one of the lots to the U.S. Life Saving Service and in 1865 sold the rest to Arthur V. Conover. Mr. Conover and other investors founded the Monmouth Beach Association in 1871. Oceanfront homes were built and the community began to thrive. Many of the original 19th century Victorian homes still exist alongside new contemporary properties making Monmouth Beach an idyllic seaside resort.

Neptune Township

Incorporated in October of 1881, Neptune was named after the Roman God of the Sea. During the last decade, Neptune has significantly grown residentially, commercially and in technological advances. A prestigious addition has been the Jersey Shore Medical Center which is an affiliate of the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Township highlights include the Jumping Brook Golf Course, great restaurants, Shark River Park (in Shark River Hills) which features a walking trail, barbeque areas and picnic tables, and the historic town of Ocean Grove. The celebrities Jack Nicholson and Danny DeVito spent their childhood years as friends in Neptune.

Ocean Grove

Incorporated in 1869, Ocean Grove is a National Historical District. Founded by Bishop Francis Asbury, Ocean Grove (a sister to Cape May) has the largest number of Victorian homes in the nation and today maintains Methodist traditions. The Great Auditorium was built in 1875 and still is host to Sunday worship services and many concerts during the summer. Tents were the first structures in Ocean Grove and today 114 tents still provide summer residence for families many of which descend from original Ocean Grove settlers. The beautiful beach, boardwalk, quaint village, many shops and restaurants make Ocean Grove a truly memorable place to live and to visit.

Ocean Township

From Waretown to Brookville, Ocean Township is a diverse mix of natural beauty, history, recreational opportunities and large variety of retail venues including the Seaview Square mall. With approximately 7,400 residents and covering 21 square miles Ocean Township is one of the largest municipalities in Monmouth County.

Oceanport

Located between Red Bank and West Longbranch, Oceanport has a population of approximately 6,000. Oceanport is a peaceful residential community most famous for the Monmouth Park Racetrack. Racing at Monmouth Park began in 1870 and was an immediate success. In 1893 it was forced to close down due to legislation preventing gambling in New Jersey. Amory Haskell from Red Bank was able to garner support in 1939 to legalize “wagering” in New Jersey once again and re-construction of the track began. Due to World War II, the track was not completed until 1946 and is still one of the most popular racetracks in the country.

Point Pleasant

Like many Jersey Shore towns, Point Pleasant enjoys a rich history. Quaker settlers arrived in the 1700s and in the early 1800s farmers began to rent rooms to visitors. In the 1870s Sea Captain John Arnold purchased land and built a road to the ocean – still know today as Arnold Avenue. In 1886, the borough of Point Pleasant was established. In the late 1920s the boardwalk was enhanced by Orlo Jenkinson who built a swimming pool and amusement pavilion. Today, Jenkinson’s is still a hot spot for entertainment. Point Pleasant is a summer playland with shopping, amusements, live music and many restaurants.

Red Bank

In 1736 Red Bank was named when it was sold to Joseph French. It is said that in the deed the property was defined as “that which goes to the red bank”. Originally part of Shrewsbury, Red Bank became a commercial center in the mid 1800’s and a port for commuters to New York City. Today Red Bank is a hip city and vibrant town with great shops, galleries, numerous gourmet restaurants and clubs.

Sea Girt

Founded in 1875 and incorporated in 1917, Sea Girt has a population of approximately 2,148 and covers 1.05 square miles. Unlike many other Jersey Shore communities, Sea Girt’s residents are predominantly year round. Know for its elegant homes, Sea Girt features one of the oldest lighthouses in the nation. The Sea Girt Lighthouse tower’s peak is 60 feet above sea level and was completed in 1896. Don’t miss Rod’s Steakhouse for fun, drink & good eats!

Shrewsbury

Settled in 1667 by English settlers, and incorporated as a borough in 1926, Shrewsbury is a residential community covering approximately 2.3 square miles with a population of approximately 3,600. At one time, Shrewsbury was the largest township in New Jersey running from the Navesink River south to Little Egg Harbor. Many historic sites are in Shrewsbury including: Christ Episcopal Church, Friends Meetinghouse, Allen House, and Wardell House. The Grove, an exclusive shopping mall, brings people to Shrewsbury from all over Monmouth County. Shrewsbury is also the home of The Guild of Creative Art, which is an important and popular center for the arts in Monmouth County.

West Long Branch

In 1908, West Longbranch was formed by a group of residents choosing to secede from Shrewsbury. Consistently a residential town, West Longbranch has been home to several people of notoriety including Murry & Leonie Guggenheim who eventually donated their home to, which later became the library, for Monmouth University.
